Rappelons que cette distinction, depuis 1961, a été déjà été accordée à des régatiers de haut vol – parmi les Ed Adams, John Kostecki, Ken Read, Yed Turner ou autre Dennis Corner… – pour venir compléter des palmarès qui comptent parmi les plus étoffés de la voile américaine… et internationale.
